Lets us now come to the time where a smartphone is only made for camera 😂😂.
In recent 10 years world is turning out to be heaven for photographers. Social Networking application like Instagram has come out for photos. It is a very big platform where they can express themselves. So 10 years back to purchase a camera was a big thing and we could not expect quality up to the mark. Now purchasing camera or a camera based smartphone is not a big deal and we can get it in prize.
What is the Innovation in cameras ?
According to me cameras are innovated in a very creative way. Keeping in mind about their design, cost cutting, built quality, and most important the lens and aperture. Around in 1986 we got our first digital single lens reflex i.e. DSLR. Then work for making compact cameras was started.
Then smartphones with multiple functions came out. Out of which one of the function was camera fit in smartphone. Probably Apple Inc. was the first one to do so.
Design
We got a lot many updates in the clarity of compact as well as DSLR cameras. Note one thing their design is same as before. No change is observed in design. The design serves perfect for the photographer to set and adjust his hands and even the object. It was perfect from the very beginning and it hasn't changed.
Camera in Smartphones and Selfies
As i said most probably apple was the one who introduced camera in a smartphone in 2007. For around next 3 to 4 years smartphones were very costly as it didn't got any big innovation at that time. Then in around 2011-2012 price of smartphones came down and the cameras inside them were working for the people. If we go back again then we find that in 2003 Sony Ericsson was the first company to introduce front facing camera. It was made for video conferencing. Today we are using it for both selfie as well as video calling and conferencing.
Camera based Smartphones
At present we are taking the camera as a main specification in a smartphone. We often hear that the main highlight of the device is its camera. Companies like One plus, Oppo, Vivo, Gionne, etc. make smartphone based cameras. They have their main goal to create such a camera the we need not to go for DSLR, but dslr has some different ingredients in it which always attracts us.
The Portrait Mode
Very much trending it is. Iphone 7 plus was the one who introduced this term. They basically mean to have the best photos of smartphones. Now many smartphones are making their cameras with Portrait mode. No doubt in it, it is working. Latest launched One Plus 5T is has an excellent camera quality in front as well as back. Let me explain what happens in Portrait mode. We have the tap to focus feature that sets the focus on the object or wherever we want. Then in Portrait Mode it takes the focus from all the corners of the frame and inputs on the objects so that the image is super clear. Now the thing is if you look at towards the surroundings other than the object you will get to see blur, as no focus is there at that particular point. You can see the difference in image.
